Rules and Conditions of Entry
The Competition
- The Competition is for digital sequences only designed to run as a .exe or .mp4 file, using a single screen and with a soundtrack.
Sections
Entries should be of either of the following definitions
Narrative
- A story or account of events, experiences, whether true or fictitious.
- There should be a clear commentary either written or spoken which should complement the images.
- Sequences should have a beginning, a middle and an end.
- Any music should be appropriate and complement the story and images.
- Video clips, taken by the photographer, may be included but must not exceed 10% of the running time of the sequence.
- Sequences the maximum duration must not exceed 10 minutes.
Music, Song, and Poetry
- For music the main feature of sequences should be the relationship between the music and the images and how they interact with one another.
- Illustration of songs and poetry may be creative or strongly representable.
- Written words can be used, where appropriate.
- No video should be included.
- Sequences the maximum duration must not exceed 6 minutes.
Entries
- An entrant may enter up to Two sequences
- There are no restrictions on the subject entered but all contents must be for family viewing. The competition organiser has the right to reject any sequence that they consider undesirable, unsuitable or incorrectly programmed for competition.
- Images should be cropped to a final size of not less than 1600 x 1200 or 1920 x1080 pixels (depending on aspect ratio). Entries created at less than 1600 x 1200 can be entered but will show smaller on the screen.
- Sequences must be in .mp4 format or .exe and must be programmed with “no run” box. Shows produced in Pro Show Gold or Producer must not include a menu or Pro Show start up.
- At least 75% of the images in each sequence must have been taken by the photographer and any post-processing undertaken must be by the photographer. The author must confirm to the organisers that they have the legal right to use any third-party images and that they will indemnify the organisers against any action taken by the owners of any copyright.
- The sequences must not have been entered into a Cleethorpes Camera Club AV Competition before.
Copyright
- In accordance with the established copyright regulations, sequences presented at this competition should be free of all rights of ownership, artistic or otherwise, which others may hold.
- By participating in the competition authors of audio-visual sequences indemnify the organisers against all and any action which may be taken against them by owners of copyrights including copyright music. The organisers will accept no responsibility in the case of dispute or litigation.

Judging
- The competition will be judged by an external judge familiar with this type of competition; the judge’s decision is final.
Conditions of Entry
- The submission of an AV implies the acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
- The submission also provides permission for the sequences to be shown in public at this Competition.
